Luisa Buenaventura Gentlemen : Pursuant to the disclosure requirements of the Philippine Stock Exchange ("PSE"), we hereby inform you of the civil case filed by Van Eck Associates, Inc. ("Van Eck") against Reynolds Philippines Corporation ("RPC"), entitled "Van Eck Associates, Inc., vs. Reynolds Philippines Corporation, 98 Civ. 5882 (JSM)" for alleged specific performance. As of this date, only the summons was served to RPC.
