October 16, 1998 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 2384-98 SUBJECT : Metro Pacific Corporation Metro Pacific Corporation ("MPC") clarified to the Exchange, in a letter dated October 15, 1998, a news article published in the October 13, 1998 issued of the Business World which reported that the company may not proceed with its planned P6 billion warrant issued in search for a strategic partner. MPC, in its letter, explained that: ". . . we reiterate our statement that no decision has been reached regarding the issue. Several alternatives are currently under consideration. Thereafter, we will make the necessary announcements to both the Philippine Stock Exchange and the Securities and Exchange Commission prior to any public announcement.
