October 5, 1998 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 2309-98 SUBJECT : Purefoods Corporation Purefoods Corporation ("PF") confirmed to the Exchange, in a letter dated October 2, 1998, a news article published in the October 1, 1998 issue of the Manila Times which reported that Vitarich Corporation ("VITA") is holding exploratory talks, for the integration of its chicken operations, with those of PF and Swift Foods, Inc. ("SFI"). prLL PF, in its, letter, explained that: ". . . while there were on going talks (as we are also doing with other parties) among the supposed parties, nothing definite has been reached or agreed yet that can already bind the parties.
