September 14, 1999 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 2286-99 SUBJECT : Mondragon International Philippines, Inc . In reply to the Exchange's query with regard to a news article entitled "Mondragon said courting Macau casino operator" published in the September 13, 1999 issue of Business World, which reported that Mondragon International Philippines, Inc. ("MON") is now close to a deal with Macau casino tycoon Stanley Ho for a stake in the company, MON clarified that: ". . . Mondragon is now finalizing arrangements for the entry of a local and foreign investors into Mondragon and the subsequent re-opening of the Mimosa Regency Casino. . . .. we categorically deny the information that we have finalized a deal with a Macau casino tycoon as mentioned in the said article. . . ."
