Buenaventura Supervisor, Disclosure Department Philippine Stock Exchange Philippine Stock Exchange Center Pasig City Dear Ms. Buenaventura: We refer to your fax letter dated September 10, 1999 relative to the news article "Landbank defends foreclosure of Uniwide land" which appeared in today's issue of the Manila Standard. We have yet to obtain a copy of the petition filed by the Land Bank of the Philippines on the Order of the SEC to desist from foreclosing the properties of Uniwide Sales Realty and Resources Composition (USRRC). We are likewise not aware of any actions of the SEC in response to the petition, hence, as of this writing the SEC's Order for Landbank to cease and desist from foreclosing the assets of USRRC still prevails.
