Stock Exchange Centre Pasig City Dear Ms. Buenaventura: We refer to your fax letter today, September 8, 1999, asking for a clarification/confirmation of the news article entitled "ING Bank seeks SEC nod for sale of 3 Uniwide properties" which appeared in today's issue of the Philippine Star. We confirm the ING filed a motion for reconsideration on the Order of the SEC to desist from foreclosing the properties of Uniwide Sales Realty and Resources Corporation (USRRC). However, said motion had not been acted upon by the SEC. As of this writing the SEC's Order for ING to cease and desist from foreclosing the assets of USRRC still prevails.
