This is with reference to a news article entitled "Scotiabank finally sells 40% stake in Solidbank" published in the January 31, 2000 issue of the Manila Times which reported that the Bank of Nova Scotia decided last week to sell its 40 percent equity in the Solid Banking Corporation to the Metropolitan Bank and Trust Co.
