September 2, 1999 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 2202-99 SUBJECT : Benpres Holdings Corporation This is with reference to a news article published in the September 2, 1999 issue of the Manila Standard which reported that Benpres Holdings Corporation ("BPC") is among those who have expressed interest in bidding for the government's 60% stake in television network RPN-9. BPC, in a letter to the Exchange, clarified that: ". . . Benpres Holdings Corporation would like to reiterate that management is not aware of such a transaction.
