September 22, 1998 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 2191-98 September 21, 1998 Disclosure Department Listing and Disclosure Group Philippine Stock Exchange 4F PSE Centre, Exchange Road Ortigas Center, Pasig Gentlemen : This has reference to your fax message received today requesting for clarification of the news item published in the September 21, 1998 issue of the Business World regarding the suspension of Air Philippines Corporation (APC) by the Air Transportation Office (ATO). In this connection, we are informed by APC that the suspension order has been partially lifted by ATO with respect to two (2) aircrafts. APC is continuously exerting its best efforts and hopes to attend to all the deficiencies cited by ATO in its safety audit in order to return to normal operation momentarily. llcd Please be informed further that APIC has not completed its acquisition of APC pending completion of SEC and other documentary requirements.
