August 24, 1999 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 2095-99 Reynolds Philippine Corporation (RPC) has assigned a licensing agreement with Reynolds Metals Company (RMC) of the United States for the use of the latter's world-leading trademarks of aluminum foil. The following article shall be distributed to the press for release on national newspapers on 24 August 1999: "RPC SIGNS LICENSING AGREEMENT WITH AMERICAN COMPANY Reynolds Philippines Corporation (RPC) has signed a licensing agreement with Reynolds Metals Company (RMC) of the United States for the use of the latter's world-leading trademarks of aluminum foil. The agreement gives Reynolds Philippines Corporation and its consumer subsidiary, Reynolds Trading & Marketing Corporation (RTMC), the right to manufacture Reynolds Wrap, Diamond Foil, and Redi-Pans for sale and distribution in the Philippine market. These brands jointly control 70% of the domestic consumer aluminum foil market. The deal ensures continued consumer market leadership for RPC, the Philippines' No. 1 aluminum company. The ceremonial signing of the agreement was done last July 28 at the RMC head office in Richmond, Virginia by Ruth Mack (RMC's General Manager for Consumer Products), Jaime Gonzales (President and Chief Executive Officer of RPC) and Bernardo Ong (Chief Operating Officer of RTMC).
