Item 9 (b) Other Events On August 10, 1999, the Board of Directors of JG Summit Holdings, Inc. (the "Corporation") approved the recommendation of management to declare a cash dividend of P0.02 per share out of the net income realized by the Corporation during the interim period prior to the closing of the fiscal year of the Corporation subject to approval of the Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC").
