Ong VP, Listing & Disclosure Group SUBJECT : New Members of the Board and Officers Gentlemen : In connection with the resignation of Mr . Vicente T . Cualoping and Mr . Manuel Tan Kian See , as members of the Board of Directors (as Disclosed on 17 August 1998), please be informed that in a Special Board meeting duly held on August 22, 1998, Mr . Santiago Cua, Sr . and Mrs . Juanita Tan were elected to fill the vacancies left by the aforementioned resigned Directors in accordance with the By-laws of the Corporation and the Corporation Code. In the same meeting, Mr. Santiago Cua, Sr. was elected as Chairman of the Board in lieu of Mr. John Anthony B. Espiritu, while Mrs. Juanita Tan was elected Treasurer to replace Mr. Manuel Tan Kian See.
