Ortigas Center, Pasig City Gentlemen : We wish to inform you that today, Omico Corporation will engage the services of the auditing firm of Punongbayan & Araullo to audit the financial statements of Omico as of and for the year ending 31 December 1998. LLjur This move is being taken after the failure of Omico and Joaquin Cunanan & Co., the former auditors, to agree on the audit fees for the above-mentioned audit. The negotiations between the two parties ended amicably, although unsuccessfully, last Friday, 29 January 1999. The Board of Directors of Omico, in its meeting last 22 January 1999, gave its previous approval on the possible change of external auditors. For the information of the Exchange.
