ONG Vice-President, Listings and Disclosure Group NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC On 22 April 1998, the Board of Governors of the Philippine Stock Exchange (the "Exchange") has adopted and approved the recommendation of the Listing Committee to delist all the securities of MARCOPPER MINING CORPORATION (the "Company"), should it fail to pay the required annual listing maintenance fee for the year 1998 by 30 June 1998. Despite several verbal and written demands and after the lapse of the aforesaid deadline, the Company failed to pay the said fee. Pursuant to the Requirements and Procedure for Listing and listing of Securities issued by the Brokers and Exchanges Department of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the SEC, in its letter of 20 July 1998, informed the Exchange that it interposes no objection to the delisting of the securities of the Company. In view of the foregoing, notice is hereby given that effective immediately upon publication hereof in two (2) newspapers of general circulation, MARCOPPER MINING CORPORATION shall be considered delisted from the registry of companies of the Exchange. 28 of July 1998, Pasig City, Philippines.
