July 13, 1998 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 1597-98 SUBJECT : Alcorn Petroleum and Minerals Corporation Further to Circular No. 1086-98 dated May 20, 1998, Alcorn Petroleum and Minerals Corporation ("APM") furnished the Exchange a copy of SEC Form 34-A (Proxy Statement), in connection with its Annual Stockholders' Meeting which will be held on July 24, 1998 , at 3:00 p.m. at the Balagtas Room, The Peninsula Manila, Ayala Avenue corner Makati Ave., Makati City. As previously announced, stockholders of record as of July 9, 1998 are entitled to notice of, and to vote at, said meeting.
