Angeles Assistant, Disclosure Department Gentlemen : We refer to your request for a written clarification/confirmation which we received yesterday on the Malaya news article appearing in its June 29, 1999 issue which stated, among others, that the Philippine National Bank (PNB) has a loan exposure amounting to P772.5 Million. LLjur We confirm that as of today, PNB has a principal loan exposure amounting to P772,516,000.00 to Uniwide Holdings, Inc. The loan is fully secured by a real estate mortgage.
