July 9, 1998 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 1579-98 SUBJECT : Manila Mining Corporation Additional Listing Please be informed that on July 24, 1996, the Exchange approved, subject to the actual availment and full payment of the shares, the listing application of MANILA MINING CORPORATION ("Company") to list 418,500,000 common shares consisting of 251,100,000 Class "A" shares and 167,400,000 Class "B" shares with a par value of P0.01 per share, to cover the Company's Seventh Stock Option Awards under the Company's Stock Option Plan. On July 18, 1996, the Exchange approved, subject to the availment of the shares for the Stock Option, the listing application of the Company to list additional 167,400,000 shares representing the 40% upward adjustment on the shares being granted under the 7th Stock Option Awards resulting from the 40% stock dividend declaration due to stockholders of record as of May 15, 1996. In connection with this, please be advised that from March 24 to July 7, 1998 the Company has received notice from optionees for the availment of 1,285,714 common shares, consisting of 771,428 Class "A" shares and 514,286 Class "B" shares. These optionees are entitled to a total of 514,286 common shares, consisting of 308,572 Class "A" shares and 205,714 Class "B" shares to cover the 40% stock dividend declaration. cdlex In view thereof, the listing of 1,800,000 shares consisting of 1,080,000 Class "A" shares and 720,000 Class "B" shares availed under the Company's Stock Option Plan and their 40% stock dividend is set for Friday, July 17, 1998 .
