July 3, 1998 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 1511-98 SUBJECT : Belle Corporation Belle Corporation ("BEL") clarified to the Exchange a news article, published in the June 25, 1998 issue of the Manila Times, which reported of the company's plan to sell its assets, including its stake in Dragon Oil Plc., estimated to bring in $20 million. cdlex BEL in said letter explained that: "During the interview after the shareholders' meeting last June 24, 1998, our Chairman stated that the Corporation is consolidating its balance sheet and is considering disposition of its non-core investments.
