De Guia Assistant Manager Gentlemen : We confirm that San Miguel Corporation ("SMC") received an offer from the Salim Group for SMC to purchase a stake in PT Indofood Sukses Makmur ("PT Indofood"). An official of PT Indofood today informed an SMC official that through the Salim Group is not willing to sell to SMC a 60% controlling stake in PT Indofood, talks will continue on an alternative structure.
