June 24, 1998 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 1416-98 Globe Telecom GMCR, Inc. ("GLO") confirmed to the Exchange, in a letter dated June 22, 1998, a news article published in the June 18, 1998 issue of the Philippine Star which reported of its 18% increase in cellular phone rates. GLO in said letter explained that: ". . . GMCR, Inc. was authorized by the National Telecommunications Commission in its Order dated 01 April 1998 in NTC Case No. 92-449 to implement an 18% Foreign Currency Adjustment on its cellular telephone rates." prcd For your information.
