June 22, 1998 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 1382-98 DATE : June 22, 1998 SUBJECT : Metro Pacific Corporation Metro Pacific Corporation ("MPC") clarified to the Exchange, in a letter dated June 18, 1998, a news article published in the June 17, 1998 issue of the Philippine Daily Inquirer which reported that MPC has tapped affiliates in acquisition of a controlling stake in Nation Broadcasting Corporation. MPC in said letter explained that: ". . . We advise the Exchange that the article is incorrect and neither the Company nor any of its subsidiaries/affiliates has acquired an interest in Nation Broadcasting Corporation." For your information.
