Ong Vice President Listings & Disclosure Group RE : Notice of Postponement of Annual Meeting Gentlemen : Attached is the Notice of indefinite postponement of the Annual Stockholders' Meeting of PHILTREAD TIRE & RUBBER CORPORATION originally set for June 29, 1998. We shall send the notice by messengerial service to stockholders in addition to the publication of the notice in newspapers of general circulation for three (3) days. As understood, we shall submit first to the Securities and Exchange Commission for its review and approval, as soon as available, the Financial Statements of the Company before distribution thereof to the stockholders prior to the definite date of the annual meeting to be announced in due course.
