June 10, 1999 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 1369-99 June 10, 1999 SUBJECT : Air Philippines International Corporation Air Philippines International Corporation ("APIC") clarified to the Exchange a news article entitled "Tan targets 70% of Air Phil." published in the June 10, 1999 issue of the Journal. The article reported that Mr. Lucio Tan is currently negotiating to buy 70% of Air Philippines Corporation (APC) which will soon start flying international routes. aisadc In its letter, APIC stated that: ". . . with regard to the report that Mr. Lucio Tan is currently negotiating to buy 70% of APC, please be informed that APIC is not privy to the said negotiations and thus has no knowledge as to the veracity of the said news report."
