Daily Inquirer article of June 10, 1999 on RCBC Dear Ms. de Guia , Please be informed that RCBC is not involved in any official merger or buy out talks with China Bank. The news article speculates about plans of China Bank shareholders which reportedly includes the Yuchengco and the Henry Sy families. RCBC is not a shareholder of China Bank and has not "been building up its stake in China Bank for the past several years" contrary to the statement in the news article.
