We wish to inform you that Petron is pursuing the development of a refinery and power plant project which will address the country's petroleum requirements beyond the year 2003. The development activity has so far concentrated on the technical and engineering evaluation of the proposed project. Petron is currently exploring various commercial and investment opportunities with potential partners.
