May 29, 1998 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 1191-98 SUBJECT : Interport Resources Corporation Postponement of Offer Period Further to Listing Circular No. 1044-98 dated May 15, 1998, please be informed that INTERPORT RESOURCES CORPORATION (the "Company") requested for the postponement of the June 1-July 1, 1998 offer period for its 1:1 Preemptive Rights Offering. In a letter to the Exchange, dated May 28, 1998, the Company stated that: "In view of the current regional decline in stock market prices, and with the Philippine trading at its lowest volume for the year, these developments have affected the finalization of IRC's Underwriting Agreement with RCBC Capital, its Underwriter. Considering the above, IRC Management has decided to postpone to a later date its IRC 1:1 Preemptive Stock Rights Offering." Furthermore, the Company is requesting for a new offer period and the retention of its record date of March 15, 1996, subject to the approval of the Exchange. For your information and guidance.
