Angeles Assistant Disclosure Department Gentlemen : This refers to the news article captioned "DIGTTEL sees entry of new strategic partner possible" published today, May 25, 1999 in the Business World which implied that DIGITEL is seeking British Telecom PLc as its strategic partner. Please be informed that as stated in the said article, which I quote "that aside from market speculations, the company has yet to receive a word from British Telecom on the matter." DIGITEL is not at present conducting any negotiation with British Telecom PLc or any other telecoms carrier for any strategic partnership.
