January 19, 2000 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 118-00 SUBJECT : Globe Telecom, Inc . Globe Telecom, Inc. ("GLO") clarified to the Exchange a news article entitled "Globe, Destiny Cable in acquisition talks" published in today's issue of Business World, which reported that acquisition talks between GLO and Destiny Cable are already on the final stages. LibLex In its letter, GLO stated that: ". . . We categorically deny the contents of the news article. The article is totally without factual basis, as we are not in any discussions with Destiny cable for any acquisition of Destiny Cable by Globe Telecom. . . ." For your information. (SGD.)
