May 26, 1998 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 1143-98 Disclosure Department Listing and Disclosure Group Philippine Stock Exchange, Inc. (PSE) Philippine Stock Exchange Center Exchange Road, Ortigas Center Pasig, Metro Manila Gentlemen : The Bataan Refiner's Union of the Philippines (BRUP), the bargaining agent of the rank and file employees of Petron Bataan Refinery (PBR) filed the results of its strike vote with the National Conciliation and Mediation Board Region III, San Fernando, Pampanga office today The NCMB has been conducting preventive mediation conferences over issues raised in the notice of strike filed last April 24, 1998. In the meantime, the Refinery is on a scheduled shutdown and arrangements have been made to keep adequate inventory of refined petroleum products to satisfy all of its customers.
