Gentlemen : We are in receipt of your fax dated 22 May 1998 regarding the movement in the trading of Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC) shares today. The share price increased by 50% from P0.2000 to P0.3000 per share. We are not aware of any material information that may affect the value and trading of the said shares. Upon inquiry, however, we were informed that a stockholder sold his shares in a private transaction. At any rate, the quoted price of P0.3000 for MBC shares had been posted in the Philippine Stock Exchange Index for several days already.
