Grace de Guia Assistant Manager Gentlemen : This refers to your fax today requesting our clarification/confirmation of the news article entitled "Tan may sell 'close to 50%' stake in PNB" appearing in today's issue of the Business World. LexLib Please be advised that we are unaware of the alleged intention of Mr. Lucio Tan to sell his stake in the Philippine National Bank ("PNB") as we have not been informed of such. As to the alleged "50%" stake of Mr. Tan in PNB, we have previously sent requests for confirmation to Mr. Tan as to his actual shareholdings, both direct and indirect, in PNB.
