Angeles Assistant Disclosure Department Gentlemen : This refers to the new article which appeared today in the Philippine Daily Inquirer on the alleged buy-in of DIGITEL in ISLACOM. We would like to categorically deny that DIGITEL "plans to finalize negotiation for the acquisition of the Delgado family's stake in ISLA COMMUNICATIONS CO., INC. this month" and that "representatives from both companies are scheduled to meet on January 20 to thresh out the details of the acquisition." The said news article is absolutely false. DIGITEL is not negotiating with the DELGADO family nor with any party for the acquisition of a stake in ISLACOM. Thank you for your kind attention hereon.
