February 4, 1972 PROCLAMATION NO. 960 DECLARING THE FIRST WEEK OF APRIL OF EVERY YEAR AS "TAX CONSCIOUSNESS WEEK" WHEREAS, it is the civic obligation and patriotic duty of every citizen to pay his just taxes promptly; and casia WHEREAS, there is need of instilling as ever among our citizenry greater consciousness of their obligation and underscoring the taxpayer's role in economic progress and nation-building; NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the first week of April of every year as "Tax Consciousness Week" under the auspices of the Department of Finance. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
