April 17, 1996 PROCLAMATION NO. 786 CREATING AND DESIGNATINGA PORTION OF THE MACTAN AIR BASE COVERED BY A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENTDATED 27 MAY 1993 BY AND AMONG THE DEPARTMENT OF NATIONALDEFENSE, DEPARTMENT OF TRADE AND INDUSTRY AND DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND COMMUNICATIONS, AS AMENDED, AS THE MACTAN SPECIAL ECONOMICZONE II PURSUANT TO REPUBLIC ACT NO.7916 Pursuant to the powers vested in me under Republic Act No. 7916, the Special Economic Zone Act of 1995, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby create and designate, subject to the provisions of Republic Act No. 7916, its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and Resolutions No. 96-055, dated February 21, 1996, of the Board of Directors of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority, a portion of the Mactan Air Base owned by the Mactan International Airport Authority (MCIAA) by virtue of Republic Act No. 6958, entitled "An Act Creating the Mactan Cebu International Airport Authority", and covered by a Memorandum of Agreement dated 27 May 1993 by and among the Department of National Defense, Department of Trade and Industry and Department of Transportation and Communications, as amended, as the Mactan Special Economic Zone II , consisting of Sixty Three and three/tenths (63.3) hectares, more or less, as defined by the following technical description: A parcel of land, situated in Barangay Basak, in the City of Lapu-Lapu, Mactan Island, Province of Cebu.
