February 20, 1987 PROCLAMATION NO. 76 DEFINING THE TRUE AND CORRECT BOUNDARY LINES BETWEEN THE PROVINCES OF ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE AND ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR AND THE CITY OF ZAMBOANGA Upon recommendation of the Chairman of the Technical Committee created by the President of the Philippines under Administrative Order No. 268, dated February 1, 1971, as amended by Administrative Order No. 304, dated July 27, 1971, under the chairmanship of the Director of the Bureau of Coast and Geodetic Survey, to determine the true and correct boundary lines between the Province of Zamboanga del Norte and Zamboanga del Sur and the City of Zamboanga, and by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare and proclaim, in accordance with said recommendation contained in the Report of said Technical Committee submitted in November 1971, the following as the true and correct boundary lines between said political subdivision: acd 1. The Boundary Line Between Zamboanga del Norte and Zamboanga del Sur . The boundary line separating the Provinces of Zamboanga del Norte and Zamboanga del Sur begins at Point 1 (designated as "Z") at approximate position at latitude 8 13' 00" N, longitude 123 33' 30" E, which is the intersection of the boundaries between Misamis Occidental, Zamboanga del Norte and Zamboanga del Sur; thence N89 58' 19" W, 43,155.72 meters to Point 2 at approximate position at latitude 8 13' 00" N, longitude 123 10' 00" E; thence, due south 23,961.07 meters to Point 3 at approximate position at latitude 8 00' 00" N, longitude 123 10' 00" E; thence, N 89 59' 35" W, 11,024.46 meters to Point 4 at approximate position at latitude 8 00' 00" N, longitude 123 04' 00" E; thence, S 50 06' 59" W, 14,369.86 meters to Point 5 at approximate position at latitude 7 55' 00" N, longitude 122 58' 00" E; thence N 89 59' 56" W, 1,837.78 meters to Point 6 at approximate position at latitude 7 55' 00" N, longitude 122 57' 00" E; thence, N 79 51' 39" W, 21,841.32 meters to Point 7 at approximate position at latitude 7 57' 05" N, longitude 122 45' 18" E (331-meter peak); thence S 78 26' 42" W, 11,035.55 meters to Point 8 at approximate position at latitude 7 55' 53" N, longitude 122 39' 25" E (407-meter peak); thence, S 65 25' 11" W, 9,229.31 meters to Point 9 at approximate position at latitude 07 53' 48" N, longitude 122 34' 51" E (220-meter peak); thence, S 56 33' 29" W, 12,372.59 meters to Point 10, at approximate position at latitude 7 50' 06" N, longitude 122 29' 14" E; thence, S 49 45' 58" W, 6,943.14 meters to Point 11 at approximate position at latitude 7 47' 40" N, longitude 122 26' 21" E (457-meter peak); thence, S 63 43' 57" W, 8,952.46 meters to Point 12 at approximate position at latitude 7 45' 31" N, longitude 122 21' 59" E (360-meter peak) thence, S 29 23' 39" W, 12,551.25 meters to Point 13 at approximate position at latitude 7 39' 35" N, longitude 122 18' 38" E (260-meter peak); thence, S 48 05' 51" W, 3,541.52 meters to Point 14 at approximate position at latitude 7 38' 18" N, longitude 122 17' 12" E (320-meter peak) thence, S 24 20' 53" W, 5,799.35 meters to Point 15 at approximate position at latitude 7 35' 26" N, longitude 122 15' 54" E (340-meter peak); thence, S 30 22' 34" W, 6,729.47 meters to Point 16 at approximate position at latitude 07 32' 17" N, longitude 122 14' 03" E (380-meter peak); thence, S 08 37' 38" W, 7,767.48 meters to Point 17, (designated as Point "Y") at approximate position at latitude 7 28' 07" N, longitude 122 13' 25" E, which is the intersection of the boundaries between Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur and Zamboanga City, subject to necessary adjustments to conform with the natural features intended as located in the ground. 2. The Boundary Line Between Zamboanga del Norte and Zamboanga City . The boundary line separating the Province of Zamboanga del Norte and the City of Zamboanga begins at Point 1 and approximate position at latitude 7 09' 00" N, longitude 121 54' 07" E, which is the center of the mouth of Limpapa River (charted as Alimpaya River), about 3.75 kms. southwest of Pangian Point and about 4.65 kms. northwest of Caldera Point in the southwestern coast of the Zamboanga Peninsula; thence, N 89 59' 21" E, 19,269.28 meters to Point 2 at approximate position at latitude 7 09' 00" N, longitude 122 4' 35" E; thence, N 44 03' 45" E, 11,072.59 meters to Point 3 at approximate position at latitude 7 13' 19" N, longitude 122 08' 46" E (620-meter peak) thence, N 26 45' 48" E, 6,812.02 meters to Point 4 at approximate position at latitude 7 16' 37" N, longitude 122 10' 26" E, (240-meter peak); thence, N 01 22' 56" E, 10,170.68 meters to Point 5 (469-meter peak) at approximate position at latitude 7 22' 08" N, longitude 122 10' 34" E; thence, N 25 25' 41" E, 12,211.10 meters to Point 6 (designated as "Y" in this Report) at approximate position at latitude 7 28' 07" N, longitude 122 13' 25" E, which is the intersection of the boundaries of Zamboanga City and the Provinces of Zamboanga del Norte and Zamboanga del Sur. 3. The Boundary Line Between Zamboanga del Sur and Zamboanga City . The boundary line separating the Province of Zamboanga del Sur and Zamboanga City begins at Point 1 at approximate position at latitude 7 28' 07" N, longitude 122 21' 12" E, which is the center of the mouth of Tungawan River in the east coast of the Zamboanga Peninsula about 1.95 kms. WSW of Tanduasan Point and about 6.2 kms. NW of Palucugan Island; thence, directly west about 14,319.08 meters to Point 2 (designated as "Y" in this Report), at approximate position at latitude 7 28' 07" N, longitude 122 13' 25" E, which is the intersection of the boundaries between Zamboanga City and the Provinces of Zamboanga del Norte and Zamboanga del Sur. All laws, rules and regulations inconsistent with this Proclamation, are hereby repealed, superseded, amended and/or modified accordingly. The Bureau of Lands may cause the survey of the foregoing boundaries of the Provinces of Zamboanga del Norte and Zamboanga del Sur and the City of Zamboanga, the expenses of which shall be borned by the provinces and city concerned.
