December 16, 1986 PROCLAMATION NO. 52 DECLARING THURSDAY, DECEMBER 18, 1986, AS "GRACIANO LOPEZ JAENA DAY" AND A SPECIAL NON-WORKING PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF ILOILO AND IN THE CITY OF ILOILO WHEREAS, Thursday, December 18, 1986, marks of 130th birth anniversary of Graciano Lopez Jaena, hero, patriot, writer, and founder of the La Solidaridad; and WHEREAS, the people of the Province of Iloilo should be given full opportunity to celebrate the day with fitting ceremonies. NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Thursday, December 18, 1986, as a special non-working public holiday in the City and province of Iloilo. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed. DONE in the City of Manila, this 16th day of December, in the year of Our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Six.
