October 29, 1980 PROCLAMATION NO. 2025 DECLARING FRIDAY, OCTOBER 31, 1980, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY WHEREAS, one of the most popular religious traditions in the country is paying homage to departed relatives and friends on the first of November; WHEREAS, Letter of Instructions No. 814 classified the first of November as a national special public holiday; and WHEREAS, Friday, October 31, 1980 may be declared a special public holiday to give the people full opportunity to celebrate the tradition with all its religious fervor; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Friday, October 31, 1980 as a special public holiday. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
