October 12, 1987 PROCLAMATION NO. 168 DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 16-21, 1987, AS "NATIONAL PRINTING WEEK" WHEREAS, the printing industry renders indispensable service to the country in the promotion of arts and culture, and in the government's efforts to disseminate information; WHEREAS, the printing industry, as one of the most effective tools of communication, contributes directly or indirectly to the furtherance of the country's goal towards national economic growth; WHEREAS, it is necessary to focus the attention of the public on the vital role played by the printing industry in promoting our government's higher objectives; NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from November 16 to 21, 1987, as "National Printing Week" under the auspices of the Printing Industries Association of the Philippines, Inc. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed. DONE in the City of Manila, this 12th day of October, in the year of Our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Seven.
