September 14, 1987 PROCLAMATION NO. 152 DECLARING THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 1987, AS A NON-WORKING SPECIAL DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF SIQUIJOR WHEREAS, Thursday, September 17, 1987, marks the political independence of the Province of Siquijor; and WHEREAS, the residents of Siquijor should be afforded the opportunity to commemorate the event with appropriate ceremonies; NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Thursday, September 17, 1987, as a non-working special day in the Province of Siquijor. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed. DONE in the City of Manila, this 14th day of September, in the year of Our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Seven.
