Opening Certain Parcel of Land of Public Domain in Mansalay, Oriental Mindoro for Mining Purposes

September 7, 1987 PROCLAMATION NO. 150 WITHDRAWING FROM THE OPERATION OF PROCLAMATION NO.88, DATED AUGUST 9, 1966 WHICH ESTABLISHED THE MANSALAYFOREST RESERVE CERTAIN IN PARCEL OF LAND OF THE PUBLICDOMAIN SITUATED AT THE MUNICIPALITY OF MANSALAY, PROVINCE OF ORIENTALMINDORO, ISLAND OF LUZON, AND OPENING THE SAME FOR MININGPURPOSES Upon the recommendation of the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources and pursuant to the powers vested in me by law, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, do hereby withdraw from the operation of Proclamation No. 88, dated August 9, 1966 establishing the Mansalay Forest Reserve, certain parcel of land of the public domain situated at the Municipality of Mansalay, Province of Oriental Mindoro, Island of Luzon, and declare the area so withdrawn open for Mining purposes, subject to existing private rights, if any there be, and existing laws, policies, rules and regulations pertinent thereto, as shown in the Bureau of Forest of Development Map No. FR.-175, with the following technical description: Beginning at Point 1 which is N 46 35' 00" W, 7,145.00 meters from BLLM No. 1 PLS-416-D at the Municipality of Mansalay, Oriental Mindoro; cd i Thence, Due East, 3,100.00 meters to Point 2; Thence, S25 35' W., 1,900.00 meters to Point 3; Thence, Due West, 1,300.00 meters to Point 4; Thence, Due South, 1,080.00 meters to Point 5; Thence, Due West, 1,030.00 meters to Point 6; Thence, Due South, 1,900.00 meters to Point 7; Thence, Due West, 6,170.00 meters to Point 8; Thence, Due North, 6,452.00 meters to Point 9; Thence, Due East, 4,520.00 meters to Point 10; Thence, Due South, 3,687.00 meters to Point 11; Thence, Due East, 1,810.00 meters to Point 12; Thence, Due North, 1,844.00 meters to Point of Beginning at Point 1, containing THREE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED TWENTY-ONE (3,291.00) HECTARES more or less. There are excluded from the operation of this proclamation a strip of 15 meters in width on each side of any other forest products, and a strip of 20 timber and other forest products, and a strip of 20 meters in width from the highest banks on each side of any stream for stream bank protection.
