August 19, 1987 PROCLAMATION NO. 141 DECLARING FRIDAY, AUGUST 21, 1987, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE SUB-PROVINCE OF GUIMARAS WHEREAS, the 21st anniversary foundation of the Sub-Province of Guimaras falls on August 21, 1987; and WHEREAS, it is fitting that the people of the Sub-Province of Guimaras be given ample opportunity to celebrate the event with appropriate ceremonies; NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Friday, August 21, 1987 as a special public holiday in the Sub-Province of Guimaras. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed. DONE in the City of Manila, this 19th day of August, in the year of Our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Seven.
