Opening to Disposition Certain Portion of Land Within the National Government Center Site in Quezon City

August 11, 1987 PROCLAMATION NO. 137 EXCLUDING FROM THE OPERATION OF PROCLAMATION NO.1826, WHICH ESTABLISHED THE NATIONAL GOVERNMENTCENTER SITE AT QUEZON CITY, A CERTAIN PORTION OF LAND EMBRACED THEREIN AND DECLARINGTHE SAME OPEN FOR DISPOSITION UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF ACT NO.3038 IN RELATION TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE PUBLIC LANDACT, AS AMENDED Upon the recommendations of the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources and the National Government Center Development Committee, and by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, do hereby exclude from the operation of Proclamation No. 1826, which established the National Government Center site located at Quezon City, certain portions of the land embraced therein (subject to actual survey) and declare the same open for disposition in accordance with Act No. 3038 in relation to the provisions of the Public Land Act, as amended, to the bona fide residents thereat as of February 25, 1986, which portion is more particularly described as follows: A PARCEL OF LAND covering a portion of SWO-04-000494 situated west of Commonwealth Avenue, bounded on the E.,by Commonwealth Avenue, on the SW.,by Don Enrique Heights Subdivision and BF Homes Subdivision; on the W.,by Doa Petrona and Fairview Subdivision; and on the NW.,by Ideal Homes and Don Jose Desiderio, containing an approximate area of 1,500,000 square meters. Any provision of law to the contrary notwithstanding, disposition of lots under the Proclamation covering the titled portion of the reservation shall be exempt from the public bidding requirement under Act No. 3038 and shall be disposed of by direct sale to the bona fide residents therein as of February 25, 1986, in the manner and conditions prescribed under Republic Act No. 730. Such part or parts of the area herein declared open to disposition under the provisions of Act No. 3038 in relation to the provisions of the Public Land Act, as amended, which are being used or earmarked for public or quasi-public purposes shall be excluded from such disposition.
