March 9, 1998 PROCLAMATION NO. 1175 DECLARING FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, MARCH 13 AND 14, 1998, AS NON-WORKING SPECIAL DAYS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF ILAGAN, PROVINCE OF ISABELA WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 8474 mandates the conversion of the Municipality of Ilagan in the Province of Isabela, into a component city to be known as the City of Ilagan; WHEREAS, the Commission on Elections under Resolution No. 2989, dated February 12, 1998, has scheduled the plebiscite date for the conversion of the Municipality of Ilagan, Province of Isabela, into a component city, on March 14, 1998; WHEREAS, to enable the residents of the said municipality to actively participate in the scheduled political exercise, there is a need to declare the plebiscite day and the day prior thereto as special days; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Friday and Saturday, March 13 and 14, 1998 as non-working special days in the Municipality of Ilagan, Province of Isabela. IN WITNESS, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed. DONE in the City of Manila, this 9th day of March, in the year of Our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Ninety-Eight.
