Amendment to R.A. No. 2087

June 13, 1979 PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 1625 FURTHER AMENDING SECTION 1 OF REPUBLIC ACT NO.2087, ENTITLED "AN ACTGRANTING LIFE PENSION AND FRANKINGPRIVILEGE TO WIDOWS OF FORMERPRESIDENTS OF THE PHILIPPINES" By virtue of the powers vested upon me by the Constitution, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby order and decree: SECTION 1. Section 1 of Republic Act No. 2087 is hereby further amended to read as follows: cd i "Sec. 1. The widow of any former President of the Philippines shall be entitled to a life pension, tax free, of ninety six thousand pesos annually, payable at the rate of eight thousand pesos monthly, if such President was not removed by impeachment: Provided , That if such widow of any President re-marries she shall lose the benefits of this Act." SECTION 2. All laws, decrees, rules and regulations inconsistent with this Decree are hereby repealed, amended, or modified accordingly. SECTION 3. This Decree shall take effect immediately.
