December 7, 2004 Excerpt from the Journal of the Regular Session of the Sangguniang Bayan of Naujan, Province of Oriental Mindoro Held on December 07, 2004 at the Session Hall. NAUJAN MUNICIPAL ORDINANCE NO. 036-04 AN ORDINANCE ENACTING THE REVISED MUNICIPAL REVENUE CODE OF 2004 WHEREAS, Section 447, (3), of the Local Government Code provides the power of the Sangguniang Bayan to enact an ordinance levying taxes, fees and charges upon such conditions and for such purposes intended to promote the general welfare of the inhabitants of the municipality; WHEREAS, the last Municipal Revenue Code was enacted on July 24, 1992, at the time of the initial and full implementation of the Local Government Code of 1991; WHEREAS, Section 191 of the Local Government Code authorizes the local government units to adjust tax rates as prescribed herein but not oftener than once every five (5) years, but in no case shall such adjustment exceed ten percent (10%) of the rates fixed under this Code. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, as it is hereby ordained to enact Municipal Ordinance No. 36, to be known otherwise as the Revised Municipal Revenue Code of 2004". BE IT, FURTHER, RESOLVED, that copies of this ordinance be furnished to all persons/authorities concerned for their information and appropriate action.
