March 26, 2015 MINA MUNICIPAL ORDINANCE NO. 271-15 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE D PARTICULARLY SECTION II A (a-i), OF THE REVISED REVENUE CODE AS AMENDED, FOR HEALTH EXAMINATIONS TO INCLUDE DRUG TESTING AS A PRE- REQUISITE, REQUIREMENT IN SECURING CERTIFICATIONS, CLEARANCES, RECOMMENDATIONS, BUSINESS PERMITS AND OTHER WHEREAS, Article D, re: Health Examination of the Revised Revenue Code of the Municipality of Mina as amended provides various laboratory health examinations as provided in Section II (A) (a-i) thereof excluding drug testing; WHEREAS, it is the declared policy of the state to safeguard the integrity of its territory and well-beings of its citizenry, particularly the youths from harmful effects of dangerous drug in their physical and mental well-beings as defined under Section II of the Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the "Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002"; WHEREAS, toward this end, the Municipality of Mina is looking forward for a healthy and drug free citizenry, particularly those who are working both in private and government service thereby requiring them to undergo drug testing laboratory. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Sangguniang Bayan of Mina, Iloilo in session assembled that: SECTION I. Title . Article D for Health Examinations of the Revised Revenue Code of the Municipality of Mina is hereby amended and be read as follows: "An Ordinance Amending Article D, for Health Examinations, to Include letter "j" under Section II (A) for Drug Testing Laboratory" SECTION II. It is hereby a declared policy of the municipality of Mina to include another provision as letter "j" for drug testing under Article D, Section 4D.01, Section II A (a-i), of the Municipal Revenue Code for Service Fees for Health Examination, pp. 47-48 of the said Code. SECTION III. Effectivity . This Ordinance shall take effect upon approval. SECTION IV. Separability Clause . If for any reason, any provision, section or part competent jurisdiction. Such judgment shall not affect or impair the remaining provision, section or parts shall remain in full force and effect. ADOPTED this 26th day of March, 2015 , on motion of Hon. Jose G.
