Constituting the Technical Review Committee on Treasure Hunting

January 27, 1999 MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 48 CONSTITUTING THE TECHNICAL REVIEW COMMITTEE ON TREASURE HUNTING Pursuant to Memorandum Order No. 389 dated 26 July 1996, prescribing the procedures and guidelines on application for permits to locate hidden treasures in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 1726-A, a Technical Review Committee is hereby constituted to evaluate all applications for a treasure hunting or salvage permit. The Committee shall be composed of the following: Assistant Executive Secretary Antonio E. Nery - Chairman Office of the President Representative, Department of Interior and - Member Local Government Representative, Department of Environment - Member and Natural Resources The Committee shall, within thirty (30) days from effectivity of this Memorandum Order, formulate and submit for approval of the Executive Secretary the technical criteria it intends to utilize in evaluating applications. The technical evaluation of the application, with the Committee's recommendation, shall be submitted to the Legal Office, Office of the President, for appropriate disposition in accordance with said Memorandum Order No. 389. In the discharge of its functions, the Committee may call on any department, bureau, office, agency or instrumentality for assistance. This Order shall take effect immediately.
