Formal Inquiry on Reported Involvement of Some Metro Manila BIR Officers in Illegal Tax Investigations

September 12, 1995 MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 309 There is hereby created an Investigation Committee to conduct a formal inquiry into the reported involvement of some Metro Manila Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Regional Directors and Revenue District Officers in illegal tax investigations during the period July 1, 1993 to July 31, 1994. The Investigation Committee shall be composed of Deputy Executive Secretary Luis C. Liwanag II, as Chairman, with Department of Finance Undersecretary Milwida Guevarra and Director Feliciano B. Clemencio of the Office of the Executive Secretary, as Members. The Committee shall submit its report and recommendations to the Office of the President, thru the Office of the Executive Secretary, not later than October 15, 1995. Manila, September 12, 1995
