July 29, 1988 MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 183 AUTHORIZING THE BUREAU OF INTERNAL REVENUE TO ADOPT THE OP PAY PLAN The Bureau of Internal Revenue which is tasked with the functions of assessing and collecting all taxes, fees and charges, accounting for all revenues collected, exercise of duly delegated police powers, administering all legal requirements that are appropriate, preventing and prosecuting tax evasions and illegal economic activities, exercising supervision and control over its constituent units and performing such functions as may be provided by law, is hereby authorized to adopt the OP Pay Plan under E.O. No. 530, effective not earlier than January 1, 1988. TaIHEA The present special cost of living allowance of BIR personnel equivalent to 20% of basic salary but not less than P500.00 per month is hereby discontinued likewise, effective January 1, 1988. The additional amount needed to implement the adoption of said plan shall be charged against savings in the agency appropriations for CY 1988 and/or against the BIR Special Fund. The Secretary of Budget and Management shall issue the necessary rules and regulations to implement this Memorandum Order. DISHEA July 29, 1988
