May 25, 2000 MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 104 EXTENDING THE PERIOD OF EXEMPTION OF TRAVEL TAX TO ALL PASSENGERS BY AIR AND/OR SEA ORIGINATING FROM ALL INTERNATIONAL PORTS IN MINDANAO TO ANY DESTINATION WITHIN THE BIMP-EAGA (BRUNEI DARUSSALAM, INDONESIA, MALAYSIA, PHILIPPINES-EAST ASIA GROWTH AREA) For reasons of national interest and in order to sustain and accelerate economic development in Mindanao, the exemption from payment of travel tax to all passengers by air and/or sea originating from all international ports in Mindanao to any destination within the BIMP-EAGA (Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines-East Asia Growth Area) is hereby extended to December 2001. For purposes of this Order, a Travel Tax Exemption Certificate may be secured from the Philippine Tourism Authority. This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately. DONE in the City of Manila, this 25th day of May, in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand.
